Does Yovale really let AI bots crawl my site?+
Yes — by default. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Meta-ExternalAgent, Bytespider, Amazonbot and Applebot-Extended are allow-listed in the robots.txt template that ships with every site. You can opt any of them out per-site.
What is llms.txt and why does it matter?+
llms.txt is a proposed standard for telling AI crawlers which content on your site is canonical and worth quoting. Yovale generates and maintains it automatically so you don't have to think about it.
Will this hurt my SEO with Google?+
No. Google-Extended (the AI training crawler) is separate from Googlebot (search ranking). Allowing one doesn't change the other. Schema.org and server-rendered HTML help both Google and AI.
Can I block specific AI bots?+
Yes. Each site has a robots.txt override in the dashboard. Block any of the 8 default-allowed bots with one click, or add your own deny rules.
How do I know AI bots are actually reading my site?+
